What this site is
UK Help Finder is an information website. It explains publicly available rules about benefits, grants and help with living costs, and links you to the bodies that run those schemes.
It is not a government service, not a claims service, and not a substitute for advice from someone who knows your circumstances.
No advice, no guarantee
We take care to be accurate, but we cannot promise that everything here is correct or current. Rules change, and sources sometimes contradict each other. Nothing on this site is financial, legal or benefits advice, and nothing here creates any entitlement.
Before you act, check the official page we link to. If a decision matters, speak to a free adviser — Citizens Advice and your local council can both help.
Calculators and checkers
Our tools give estimates based on the figures we hold and the details you enter. They do not know your full circumstances and they are not a decision. The body running the scheme decides what you get.
Links to other sites
We link to official services and to organisations that run schemes. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement.
How you may use the site
You are welcome to read, print and share pages, and to link to us. You may not copy our pages wholesale to republish them, scrape the site at a rate that affects other users, or present our content as someone else's.
If you would like to use something substantial, ask us — the answer is usually yes.
