Corrections are the most useful thing you can send us. If a figure here is wrong or out of date, we want to know before someone relies on it.

Use this form for corrections, questions about how we work, or anything else. We are a small team, so we cannot always reply straight away.

Reporting a mistake

The more precise you can be, the faster we can fix it. If you can, include:

• the address of the page
• the figure or sentence that is wrong
• where the correct information is published, if you know

We check corrections against the official source before changing anything, and significant changes are recorded on our latest changes page.

What we cannot help with

We are an information site, not an advice service or a claims service. We cannot:

• tell you what you personally are entitled to
• check, chase or appeal a claim for you
• contact the DWP, HMRC or your council on your behalf

For that, free independent advice is available from Citizens Advice and from your local council's welfare team. They can look at your actual circumstances, which is something we cannot do.

Telling us about a scheme

If you run a grant or support scheme and we have described it wrongly — or have not listed it at all — please get in touch. We list schemes on merit; there is no payment for inclusion and no payment can buy it.
